Okay. It’s official now. I hate Christmas.It's out there. I've seen it. It has probably been there for weeks. Yes. Holiday crap is in the stores.
Nothing typifies what is awful about the holidays better than sappy, crappy Christmas movies. I saw a poster for Tim Allen's new Saint Nick movie, and I, undoubtedly like you, said WTF?!? Didn't he do this same shtick last year? I mean Geeeeezzus. Give people a break!
A quick check at IMDB shows that is wasn't last year. The 2004 holiday season brought us "Christmas with the Kranks." And for those of you keeping score, it's Tim Allen's fourth holiday flick. You see kids? This is what you do when you run out of ideas. You sell your soul for a little cash.
Then again, you can't deny success can you? I mean if people didn't enjoy watching these movies, they would not go to them. Disney would lose money and make some other crappy movie instead. Right? Hmmm....let's verify that...just a few more clicks on the Internet...just a second here...well look at that. Of the 119 people that took the time to review "Christmas with the Kranks" at Rotten Tomatoes - 5 liked it. Atta boy Tim. You just keep whoring yourself out there buddy. Merry Christmas.
On a brighter side I've got my holiday shopping done. Three words, "Recycled Halloween Candy."

Hey but this has MARTIN SHORT in it! That means it MUST be good, huh? OMG, you couldn't pay me to sit in that theater!
There will be no Halloween candy so start shopping buddy! You know I'll eat all those chocolates by Thanksgiving.

Hey, don't you go getting all grinchy on me. I get enough off that in my circles. Tim Allen sucks because he's pigeonholed in his career, not because of the glorious holiday, Capeesch? But pairing him with Martin Short is genious, in a freaky, end-of-the-effin-world kind of way. But I bet there's singing. Lots of bad singing...
