Definition of insanity

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Barak Obama puts it well in his comments on Bush's plans to "surge" in Iraq with additional troops.

As the military generals have stated, there is no military solution to the situation in Iraq. Sending more troops to die during a civil war is insane.

In addition to sending more troops, Bush plans to institute give aways. Rather than providing loans to Iraqs who are willing to stand up and take accountability and responsibility for their country, his recommendation will be to provide money for civil work such as cleaning up. I can't understand how Iraq can become self sufficient by becoming more dependent on hand outs.
