The Bruins Report
For my birthday the missus was nice enough to let me indulge in a new MP3 player (iriver's clix which has some nice features as compared to Apple's Nano). Since then I've discovered the joys of podcasts. Since terrestrial radio sux and I don't feel like spending mucho dinero for satelite radio, podcasting is a great way to get your radio fix. Especially if you are a NPR junkie like me. Hearing my favorite radio shows like This American Life and Car Talk while at the gym or commuting is a really nice way to pass the time.
But this isn't about NPR, it's about a great podcast from some local boys. Here in Boston, the sports radio shows only cover the Red Sox and the Patriots. That's not entirely true, the mid day show does discus the Bruins but I'm at work and never hear their show. Sometimes the drive time shows pause to bash the Celtics, but they never touch on the Bruins (unless they need a punchline to a joke about how bad something is. -- Hey Anna Nicole died, but at least she's not a Bruin. *rim shot*)
So I did some googling and found a great podcast for the Bruins called "The Bruins Report". Russ and CJ do a weekly podcast and its good stuff. Since I'm usually hustling the three amigos to bed, I never get to see a complete hockey game, but I can tune in and hear recaps on the games, stats, trade rumors and straight talk about how the players are doing. If you like the 'ruins, check out their website and podcast.
Yes, the Bruins are sellers as the trade deadline approaches and now I can commiserate among friends.
