Some good creative ideas! I Have seen a number of companies working on applications for in store GPS and the like, which is a huge help when searching for nails etc. It will be interesting to see if customers embrace this technology. "smart" shopping carts have yet to catch on here, but with the cache of Apple behind it, perhaps that will be the tipping point ?

Nice post!

I don't know if the hardware and networks would be able to support it for a first version of the tablet, but I would guess that some day the killer app would be for the workplace. A built-in projector could make it the ultimate all-in-one device for conducting meetings and delivering presentations. Imagine Steve Jobs doing his keynote where his slides are being projected from an iSlate while it also captures and transmits his voice and video. And then anybody anywhere in the world can log into a virtual conference room to see and hear Jobs in one window, and as he goes thru his presentation, each slide shows up right on their own tablets, with Jobs being able to mark them up in real time like John Madden on a telestrator. Maybe this isn't as sexy as a viral consumer app, but boy would it make inroads for Apple into the corporate market!
