This is day 4 of my Cold Turkey experiment. For one week I will only get my news from Twitter. No NPR, no RSS feeds, no newspapers, no website (unless directed to via Twitter), no podcasts and no e-mail subscriptions.
A day of adjustment (or perhaps acceptance). I listened to an audio book, Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard on the way in. Which, by the way, is off to a great start. If you’re in a role that requires you to facilitate change, it’s a great read.
I also read my very own newspaper, The Twitter Times.
My cracker jack publishing team had some great stories today including:
- Seth Godin’s blog: Deliberately uniformed, relentlessly so
- An fantastic post by Karen Costa: Movember Grows More Than Just Mustaches
- Mashable: “Angry Birds” Publisher Acquired for $20 Million by Electronic Arts [REPORT]

John:
If you like Switch, and you’re into marketing, I think you’ll really enjoy the other Heath Brothers book – Made to Stick – if you haven’t read it already.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the comment. I’ll have to check that out. So far switch has helped me be more concrete in my change management planning. I put your site in by RSS reader, it looks like we follow some similar interests. Are you @tombike on twitter? If not, what are you on twitter?
