Why Crap Ain't Getting Done Around the House

The new Guitar Hero arrived yesterday. My review? I'll give it a "Meh." I loves me some 80s music. But the track list is questionable, even more so than GH2. Where are the Guitar Gods? Some fun songs no doubt, but where is Steve Stevens from Billy Idol, not to mention about a million other great guitarist from the era. Guess you can't please every gamer, but I wonder what kind of royalties they have to pay out for the titles (even though most songs are covered - not the original band).

No bonus songs in this edition - so that sux. "Big ups" for including Limozeen and Oingo Boingo. In other news, "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" will be out before Christmas.

GH2 Rocks the 80s - Track List:

"Hold on Loosely" - .38 Special
"The Warrior" - Scandal
"I Wanna Rock" - Twisted Sister (encore)
4. Return of the Shred
"What I Like About You" - The Romantics
"Synchronicity II" - The Police
"Ballroom Blitz" - Krokus

  • I haven't been nearly as interested in these songs as in the first. Songs like "Shout At the Devil" and "Mother" were things I'd never have listened to on their own, but were soooo fun to play along with (and stuck in my head for hours afterward). These songs are just so-so. But, then again, I haven't tried playing any yet. Just wait til I make you share.
